Risk

People all over the world are afraid to take risks. And you'll even see most people telling you or others "You shouldn't do that you don't know what might happen!" And this isn't necessarily the greatest way to live any kind of life that you expect to go far in. Even if you are a spoiled rich kid living the rest of his life off of a trust-fund, you still won't be complete no matter how much you buy.
The greatest people in history were some of the biggest risk takers, either on the battlefield or just in a lab. And most business owners that are in the big leagues have owned more businesses than just that one. They have failed, they have lost everything. And they just got back up, brushed off the dirt and never gave up. All that hard work that they were probably criticized at the time for, is now being praised. Which doesn't make alot of sense, think if more people were compassionate about risk taking and instead of it being such a negative thing, maybe making it more positive.
What if that person, after one attempt just gave up because he didn't want to take the risk again. What if he was the person that was trying to develop cures for illness, or on the brink of a new technological discovery. Well, I guess you can see my point, because of this risk taking we now have all of those luxuries and things that most people don't even think about on a daily basis.

So ask yourself, do you take enough risks?

Change

What is it about change that people fear most?

Why do people fear change and let it stop them from pursuing their dreams? Many people have goals and dreams that they will not realize because they are afraid to pursue them. The sad fact is that only 4% of our society actually set goals for themselves. Are you following your dreams and goals or are you a person who fears change?

People fear change and I have never understood that because you have nothing to fear. What is that you fear? People stay stuck in a job for twenty plus years because they are afraid to pursue that career that they would love to do. People also never start that business that they would love to do because fear of failure stops them. Whatever it is people truly want to pursue; they do not have the courage to follow it because they let fear stop them.

If people would not let fear stop them and continue to pursue their goals they would live a life filled with more joy, abundance and prosperity. However you can not truly experience these qualities if you continue living a life you are not 100% happy with. Fear is just a state of mind there is really nothing to fear after all if you fail to reach one goal, there is no shame in it. As long as you learn from your failures and keep working towards your goals and dreams eventually they will become realized. Believe me I have not reached all my goals that I have ever set for myself, but it has not kept me from setting more goals and working towards them.

If you set goals for yourself and do not reach them; do not give up on them. People fear change because they are scared of the unknown. Sometimes the unknown is better than the known. I am not sure about you, but I would rather wake up knowing that I am setting my own destiny rather than letting someone set my destiny for me.

Next time you want to pursue something do not let fear change your mind. Be brave enough to follow your heart and your dreams. After all you only live once and if you fail to do what you love you will not experience true happiness. We were all meant to live a life we truly love. If you learn how to develop your faith you can learn how possess the courage to be do have anything. Faith is the opposite of fear, and it is better to focus on faith than fear.

Out in it!

One of the things that has inspired me alot is the movie and book "Into the wild" which is absolutely amazing, one of my favorite quotes

"The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences."
— Chris McCandless

And that is something I am trying to take in account in my own life, what is life without risk? Sure you basically get rid of the chance to be hurt, maybe fall on your ass. But more importantly you get rid of the chance to do something extremely great with your life, maybe your goal is to stay in the same town that you grew up in, get a menial job, maybe even doing well for yourself. Raising your kids in the same town, with the same people. But where does this get you? No where, you could have went out, adventured the world and maybe even picked a new place to live and experience an entirely new culture that would open your eyes to more perspectives than you ever thought possible... either way, it's a nice thought.

Changing it up a bit.

I figure I might just add a little twist to this blog on top of having pictures of the wildlife and forestry of Arkansas!

How about the primal pleasures of being out in the wild, just living it how it was "ment" to be lived. I am speaking purely out of opinion with this. But personally I believe we all need to have a moment out in the wild where we don't have the luxuries of todays world, it would be a very humbling experience. People in today's society just don't understand what "hard" is or how it is to live with nothing but what you can make with the materials given to you. I'm not saying no one has been through a hard time, but it just eats me alive when I hear how someones life is over because the supermarket is out of their favorite cereal, or complaining because their work chair isn't the perfect ergonomically sound. Get over it, I mean honestly, if that's on the top of your list of things that make your life suck, you need a wake-up call. And I will continue to post about this for a few days to come! thanks for reading

Rain rain rain...

I went out into the woods yesterday in hopes of seeing some decent pictures, and then unfortunately it started to rain, and it rained hard. But! At first I thought the rain was a bad thing but then I realized how beautiful everything looked after it stopped raining. I'll upload a few of them!

Also on the trail it splits between two trees, at first I didn't think anything of it, but the more I looked the more I was intrigued..

I will have more either later today or tomorrow.
